Malawi-UK Business Group

Formed in November 2017, the Malawi-UK Business Group brings together key organisations and individuals in the UK engaged in business and trade with Malawi. It exists to support, facilitate and develop business flow, create new investment opportunities and integrate Malawi-UK co-operation in the global market.

Hub Cymru Africa

Hub Cymru Africa is a partnership supporting the Wales Africa Community, bringing together the work of the Wales for Africa Health Links Network, the Sub Saharan Advisory Panel and Fair Trade Wales. They offer advice, mentoring, training and resources on their website.

Cheetham Hill Advice Centre

Accessible to speakers of nine different languages, Cheetham Hill Advice Centre is an independent neighbourhood service in one of Manchester's most diverse areas. They can advise on welfare benefits, money and debt, housing/homelessness, consumer/employment problems, work, access to adult learning/training/volunteering, immigration/nationality issues, access to Education, Health and other services and more.

Bristol and Avon Chinese Women's Group

The Bristol and Avon Chinese Women’s Group exists to support the health and social care needs of Chinese women and their families in Bristol and the surrounding area. They provide assistance, advice, representation and services, as well as facilities for recreation and leisure time.

Bristol Muslim Cultural Society

As a Muslim Cultural Society, their aim is to empower the Muslim community in Bristol and the surrounding area to further the economic (employment, enterprise, training) educational, recreational, cultural and social needs of the Muslim community.

Black South West Network

The Black South West Network (BSWN) build dynamic, independent and strong Black communities, businesses and organisations that are empowered to flourish while challenging systemic barriers and forging a true path. Their work covers enterprise and innovation, cultural inclusion, as well as research and knowledge. They run events, broker relationships and more.

Devon and Cornwall Chinese Association

The Devon and Cornwall Chinese Association is a non-political, non-religious organisation formed to serve and represent the interests of those members of the Chinese community.

They run a Chinese Language School, Elders’ Group, Women’s Group, Business Group and Recreational Group.

Tees Valley Women's Centre

For affordable courses for future employment and building self-esteem in a safe space for womxn. A grassroots venture that offers one to one support for women, advice & guidance, training and education, and employment opportunities, with a monthly law and debt advice clinic available. These are at a reduced rate and they also have a creche service which is free to those taking the courses.

POC in Campaigns

A Facebook group for People of Colour working (or aspiring to work) in campaigns to share opportunities, concerns and questions.

All Ways Network

The All Ways Network works to empower small charities working with Muslims. They believe in having a strong support networks for our community of charities especially within the current rocky climate in the UK, with its constant cuts from the government. They support small charities via a range of services from webinars, focused group sessions on topics such as bid writing, to our annual Meet the Funders event and more.

 

National Zakat Foundation

An UK platform connecting Muslims who can give Zakat with those who should be receiving it locally. You can access their website to find out more or to apply for Zakat. They are currently offering support through four funds: Hardship Relief Fund, Housing Fund, Work Fund, and Education Fund.

Resourcing Racial Justice

The Resourcing Racial Justice fund is a coalition of people of colour innovators, change makers, activists, artists and social leaders dedicated to social change. They have established a new UK wide-funding pool to support individuals and communities working towards racial justice.

The ScaleUp Institute

The ScaleUp Institute collaborates with policy makers, corporate partners and educational establishments to help businesses scale up and grow. The ScaleUp Institute has developed a Covid-19 resource hub curating resources from across the private and public sectors. 

Start Up Britain

StartUp Britain is a campaign by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs. They offer inspiration, resources and guidance to help people start and grow their own business. They also provide online support which may be useful during this time. 

Escape the City

Escape the City provides support for individuals who want to quit their corporate jobs, change their career or start a business. Alongside webinars and an online community forum, they also are providing support to people facing redundancy. 

Prince's Trust

The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps young people aged 11 to 30 get into jobs, education and training. Find out about their programmes if you want to start a business, get a job or grow your confidence. They also have an online COVID support hub.

Good Finance

Good Finance is a collaborative project to help improve access to information on social investment for charities and social enterprises. It has curated a list of over 60 grants and funds that social enterprises and charities in the UK can apply to. They also have a Covid-19 resource hub with tools and resources for operations, remote working and navigating funding. 

The Black Training & Enterprise Group (BTEG)

The mission of The Black Training & Enterprise Group is to end racial inequality by championing fairness, challenging discrimination and pioneering innovative solutions to empower Black communities, through a range of projects and programmes for those aged 11-30 from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds.

The Ubele Initiative

Ubele aims to build community resilience and sustainability through knowledge generation and learning, they connect individuals across diasporas and generations. They have a range of resources to support BAME communities through COVID-19, including a weekly bulletin and a series of online workshops.

National Debtline

The National Debtline (0808 808 4000) is a national charity giving free and independent over the phone and online, as well as offering debt advice factsheets, budgeting tools and more. Go to the Coronavirus hub for the latest information and advice on the help available on: paying bills, managing debt, paying your mortgage / rent.

The Money Advice Service

The Money Advice Service offers free and impartial money advice, set up by government, covering debt and borrowing, homes and mortgages, budgeting and saving, work and benefits, pensions and retirement, family and care, cars and travel and insurance.
