Al-Hurraya Nottingham was founded in response to an emerging need of a service which works directly with minority communities. They offer "culturally-wise" counselling, community building, addiction support, family support, education and prevention, early intervention and women's groups.

Heywood Baptist Church (HBC)

Heywood Baptist Church (HBC) is a community of people of all ages from a wide variety of backgrounds. They run a scheme called The Cellar Door, which provides support to the Iranian community and teach ESOL (sections of the website are in Farsi for ease).

A community-run group, BAC Bradford African Community (BAC) supports refugees and asylum seekers to settle and integrate in Bradford. 

Services also include a Women's Group, Homework Club, and ESOL classes.

The Asian Community Cambridgeshire

The Asian Community serves the needs of the Asian Community, setting up capacity building group activities and promoting community cohesion. It also helps people access other services across the city.

Community of Namibians in Great Britain (CNGB)

Community of Namibians in Great Britain (CNGB) is a non-profit organisation that provides social interaction opportunities to all Namibians that reside in the United Kingdom (UK), Europe and the Diaspora.

They run workshops, offer bereavement support, provide information, advice and more. 

Dorchester Islamic Centre

Dorchester Islamic Centre is the first Masjid in the area. They run prayers, celebrations, Qur'an, Tajweed and Arabic classes. 

This also includes groups for children and women, interfaith meetings, supporting community members with special needs and difficult circumstances, an after school club and more.

Sufra NW London

Sufra NW London addresses both the causes and consequences of extreme poverty, homelessness and social isolation in the community. Their emergency interventions and innovative courses provide a life-line to people in crisis – empowering them to improve their wellbeing, learn new skills, find work and become financially stable.

Healing Justice London

A grassroots organisation working at the intersections of oppression, health, healing and liberation practice, that supports People of Colour (racialised people) by delivering workshops, skill shares and trainings to share knowledge and build alternative health provision/ community-led health, rooted in the needs of those marginalised.

DREAMSAI

DREAMSAI's objectives are:

1. Promoting teachings of Shirdi Saibaba as set out in Satcharita

2. Supplying food, hygiene items and essentials to homeless & needy people in temporary sheltered accommodation.

3.Raising awareness of the blood donation, bone marrow and stem cells within Indian community.

Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre

Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre offers free and confidential emotional and practical support, information and advocacy to women, all members of the trans community, non-binary people and young people aged 12-18 in Edinburgh, East and Midlothian, who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives. 

Knowle West Health Association

Knowle West Health Association are a wellbeing organisation serving the community in Filwood, Knowle and surrounding areas. 

Their main support includes a community kitchen and free 'as long as you need' counselling service. 

WomenZone Community Centre

WomenZone is a community centre in Bradford.

With ESOL classes, women's health groups, employment support and other services, they identify needs primarily of South Asian women for a women-only safe place.

 

Cambridge Chinese Community Centre

The objectives of the Cambridge Chinese Community Centre are to promote the benefit of the community of Cambridge, to promote racial harmony, to provide some facilities for recreation and leisure-time occupation as to improve life style and to improve general welfare of its members

Dorset Indian Association (DIA)

Dorset Indian Association (DIA) is a socio-cultural organisation based in Bournemouth and Poole.

They run festivals, offer educational opportunities to children and adults who would like to develop a deeper understanding of Indian art, culture and heritage, and more. They also conduct workshops on health and wellbeing within the community.

Oxford Food Hub

Oxford Food Hub is a centre of surplus food redistribution in Oxfordshire, rescuing surplus food from wholesalers, supermarkets, restaurants and more, and redistributing it to charities and community organisations across Oxfordshire.

The Other Box

The Other Box educate and empower people to work and live more inclusively through training, consultancy and brand partnerships. They run a Facebook group that provides a supportive online community for people and parents of colour (racialised people).

African & Caribbean Support Northern Ireland (ACSONI)

ACSONI is a community-based organisation who provide support and representation to people from the African and Caribbean diaspora communities in Northern Ireland.

They work collaboratively to preserve, promote and platform the cultural heritage of those from the Afro-Caribbean diaspora through various drop-in support services and comprehensive programmes. 

 

 

Sufra NW London

Sufra NW London is a Community Hub that provides Emergency Food Parcels; a Community Kitchen; Guidance and Advocacy; an accredited Food Academy course; a Refugee Resettlement programme; and a Community Growing Project that provides training in horticulture, school environmental visits and a vocational training course. They address both causes and consequences of extreme poverty, homelessness and isolation.

Trubys Garden Tea Room

Trubys Garden Tea Room is an interfaith community cafe run by Muslim women building positive relationships between communities in Milton Keynes

Devon and Cornwall Chinese Association

The Devon and Cornwall Chinese Association is a non-political, non-religious organisation formed to serve and represent the interests of those members of the Chinese community.

They run a Chinese language school, elders’ group, women’s group, business group and recreational group.

Vine Counselling Services

 

Vine Counselling Services is a charity based in Congresbury offering affordable (donation based) professional counselling to adults and young people in the community who need help to cope with anxiety, stress, bereavement, depression, bullying, trauma, loneliness, abuse, family problems.  

BEAP

BEAP seeks to empower members of the Bangladeshi community in Bradford.

They offer support including a Women's Group, The Job Club, sports activities, older people's day care and more.

Cambridge Ethnic Community Forum

CECF provides a cultural diversity service that helps promote an understanding between people from different ethnic groups and help them be a natural part of Cambridge life. We give special social, cultural, moral and practical support to groups and develop particular projects where needed.

Norwich Liberal Jewish Community

The Norwich Liberal Jewish Community (NLJC) represents Liberal Judaism in Norwich and Norfolk, UK. They aim to provide a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for Jews of all kinds and their friends.

They offer Hebrew classes, bereavement services and more. 

Indian Cultural Association of Dorset (ICAD)

The ICAD are a spiritual centre for all communities and religious backgrounds in Dorset. They're a space for integration, cultural and spiritual exchange, and a place providing community service.

They also run events to bring together people celebrating Indian festivals and national occasions.

Refugee Women of Bristol

Refugee Women of Bristol (RWoB) is the only multi-ethnic, multi-faith organisation that specifically targets the needs of refugee women in Bristol, they are directly governed by women of the refugee and asylum-seeking community. 

Muslim Bereavement Support Service

The Muslim Bereavement Support Service is a non-profit organisation serving the Muslim community by supporting bereaved women who have lost a loved one. They also work with other organisations, the NHS and hospices in particular, to give a spiritual context to the bereavement support services they offer.

Aik Saath

The words "Aik Saath" mean "Together As One" in Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. Aik Saath believe in working together for positive social change. Their mission is to work with people from all communities, faiths and backgrounds to promote and encourage conflict resolution and community cohesion through training, campaigns and projects.

South Asian Society Devon and Cornwall (SAaS)

SAaS aim to create a cultural, social and mutual support for Devon and Cornwall’s South Asian community.

They have a wide membership of people who are drawn from countries surrounding the Indian sub-continent or part of the Asian Diaspora. They provide social welfare, recreation alongside multicultural events.

Filwood Hope

Filwood Hope is a walk-in centre which provides the local community of Knowle West with advice and support on benefits, debt housing and food bank referals. They also provide counselling, with host advisers from Age UK offering advice to those over 55.

Khidmat Centres

Khidmat Centres in Bradford address inherent inequalities in services for the most vulnerable members of the community from minority ethnic (racialised) backgrounds.

Support includes older people services, education classes, health and wellbeing, welfare benefits advice, a women's group, learning disability groups, carers groups, Muslim Women in Prison Projects and more.

Grandparents Plus

Grandparents Plus connect kinship carers together in their national community and network of local support groups, so they don’t have to face the fight alone. They help professionals understand kinship families and improve support for them.

Society Alive

Society Alive in Norwich seeks to inject live and vitality to every aspect of the community. It is open to all irrespective of race, gender, sexual affiliation or religious inclination, inclusivity and selfless service to mankind.

Their support includes wellbeing workshops, a cafe and more. 

Bournemouth Interpreters' Group

The Bournemouth Interpreters' Group have a local interpreter register for public sector and voluntary organisations in the area.

They offer translation services into and from English, while providing advice on approaching such translations and on many other community language issues.

Burnt Roti

Burnt Roti is a South Asian lifestyle magazine dedicated to showcasing the best and brightest in the community. They also have a directory for women of colour (racialised women) therapists in London.

The Outside Project

Crisis night shelter for the LGBTIQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer) community who feel endangered, who are homeless or 'hidden' homeless. 

They run recovery groups, African-specific groups, social events, as well as referral-only arts and exercise groups.

Midaye

Midaye Somali Development Network was originally the Somali Mothers and Under Fives group, to serve mothers with young children. The Midaye Somali Development Network advocates on behalf of the community across a broad spectrum of needs.

Pakistan Welfare Association Slough

The aims and objectives of the association are to provide welfare services to the Pakistani community in Slough. We promote racial harmony, provide assistance and guidance to our members, hold social events and celebrate national days and liaise with local authorities, with a view to resolve various matters concerning the Pakistani community in Slough, Berkshire.

Cornwall Islamic Community Centre

Run by the Cornwall Islamic Trust, the Cornwall Islamic Community Centre is the first and only dedicated Islamic Centre in Cornwall.

They hold a number of weekly and annual events including prayers, Sunday school, women's groups and other cultural responsibilities.

Milestones Trust

Milestones Trust in Bristol support people with learning disabilities, mental health needs, dementia and complex behavioural needs.

They have a wide range of services including caring support, a cycle scheme, community projects and more.

Jami enriches and saves lives impacted by mental illness in the Jewish community.

They guide people through the challenging journey of navigating mental health services, providing emotional support and expert advice. They also offer family support and training services.
