Latin American Women's Rights Service (LAWRS)

Latin American Women's Rights Service are a human rights, feminist organisation run by and for Latin American migrant women in the UK.

Their direct support includes casework for women experiencing gender-based violence, counselling and emotional support, advice on benefits, employment rights, family law and immigration and workshops.

Latin American Women's Aid

Latin American Women’s Aid runs the only refuges in Europe and in the UK by and for Latin American women and children fleeing gender-based violence.

They also offer holistic and intersectional services for Black and Minoritised (racialised) women. They are proud to be LGBTQIA+ inclusive.

FearFree

FearFree offer support for people experiencing domestic abuse in Scotland who identify as a man or from the LGBT+ community. 

Their workers offer a range of support including safety planning, emotional support, mentoring, alongside practical support with housing, employment/education and accessing appropriate benefits.

Leicester LGBT Centre

Leicester Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Centre is a voluntary organisation established to support lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and young people in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

They run a range of groups for adults, young people, older people, asylum seekers and refugees, families and more.

Birmingham and Solihull Women's Aid

Birmingham and Solihull Women's Aid (BSWA) supports women and children affected by domestic violence and abuse through a helpline, drop-in centres, refuge accommodation, housing, legal and family support, and youth engagement. They also campaign, educate and train.

Acacia Family Support

Acacia provides free support to help recover from symptoms associated with pre and postnatal depression and anxiety in the Birmingham area, as well as with other family members. They have specialist support for BAME (racialised) parents and LGBTQ+ services.

Gender Identity Research & Education Society

GIRES is a volunteer operated membership charity that, in collaboration with the other groups in its field, hears, helps, empowers and gives a voice to trans and gender non-conforming individuals, including those who are non-binary and non-gender, as well as their families.

Naz and Matt Foundation

Naz and Matt Foundation exists to empower and support LGBTQI+ individuals, their friends and family to work towards resolving challenges linked to sexuality or gender identity, focusing on where religion heavily influences the situation.

Imaan

Social Support for Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Trans Muslims. Imaan supports LGBT Muslim people, their families and friends, to address issues of sexual orientation within Islam. It provides a safe space and support network to address issues of common concern through sharing individual experiences and institutional resources.

Gendered Intelligence

Gendered Intelligence have resources for trans+ and gender questioning young people, as well as for their families.

There are groups across London, Leeds, Bristol and Hertfordshire. This includes age specific groups, a transfemme group, and TPOCAlypse (for trans, gender variant and questioning young POC).

Outhouse East

Outhouse East provide opportunities for LGBTQ+ people in Essex. Their mission is to develop and promote a sustainable, fair and equal society where all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people can achieve their full potential.

Manchester Parents Group

Manchester Parents Group is a voluntary organisation which supports families and friends of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people (LGBT).

Their online forums are run by parents of LGBT children. There's also a section advising children to communicate with and come out to their parents.

Rainbow Noir

Rainbow Noir is a volunteer-led social, peer support and community action group, which celebrates and platforms people of colour who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans*, Queer and/or Intersex (LGBTQI+).

They hold monthly social spaces both online and in person.

Sahir House

Sahir House has been offering HIV support, prevention, information and training across Merseyside since 1985.

Sahir House increases HIV and sexual health knowledge, reduces stigma and campaigns for the rights for those living with HIV and related intersectionalities (gender, sexuality, asylum status).

Glitter Cymru

Glitter Cymru is a monthly social meet-up group for individuals who identify as Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic (racialised) and LGBTQIA+ in Cardiff.

Tai Pawb

Tai Pawb promotes equality and social justice in housing in Wales, for Black and Ethnic minority groups, disabled people, LGBTQ people, trans* people, diverse older and younger people. They believe that all people have the right to access good quality housing and homes in cohesive and safe communities. 

Bras Not Bombs

An East Midlands based facebook group for womxn who collect, fundraise to supply quality bras, new knickers, sanitary products and dignity packs for women and girls fleeing war and violence.

Al Hurraya

Al-Hurraya Nottingham was founded in response to an emerging need of a service which works directly with minority communities. They offer "culturally-wise" counselling, community building, addiction support, family support, education and prevention, early intervention and women's groups.

Tuntum Housing

Tuntum is a BME (racialised) led Nottingham based housing association. They offer culturally sensitive support services. Their support includes specialist services for teenage parents, and separate temporary housing for young people, men and women who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Quest for Lesbian & Gay Catholics

Quest exists to provide pastoral support to LGBT+ Catholics. They provide information, run an annual conference, and have opportunities for worship, spiritual retreats and supportive fellowship through regional groups.

Dosti

Dosti (Friendship), provides a South Asian and Middle Eastern LGBTQIA safe space to talk about common issues, make friends and get involved in cultural activities and celebrations across Leicester and Leicestershire.

Notts LGBT+ Network

Notts LGBT+ Network provide information and support to the LGBT+ communities of Nottinghamshire. They offer a place to talk about sexuality and gender, information on the area, a place to talk about sex and sexual health, legal advice and more.

Trade Sexual Health

Trade Sexual Health is a health charity working with the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGB&T) community of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. They offer a range of free and confidential support and advice services around sexual health and HIV.

Nottingham Chameleons

Chameleons is a social and support group for anyone on the transgender spectrum, their families and friends based just outside Nottingham for people across the East Midlands. Tables and chairs are put out, and people pull up a seat and chat with friends. 

Taraki

Tarkai works with Punjabi communities to create spaces where all individual can access mental health awareness, education and support to better care for themselves and one another. 

Rape & Sexual Violence Project (RSVP)

RSVP believes that everyone deserves a life free from sexual violence and abuse. They offer empathic services to support and inspire children and adults of all genders who have been subjected to sexual violence and abuse. 

Cysters

Cysters is a grassroots charity, dedicated to supporting individuals and improving the health, education and welfare of those with reproductive and mental health issues.

They aim to educate the public about reproductive health and education.

Trans Central

Trans Central is a (MtF), or Male to Female transgender community support group providing practical help and peer support to the local trans community, and creating the opportunity for individual members to take part in community programs and events.

MyUmbrella LGBT+

MyUmbrella LGBT+ is a volunteer led project of Reading Pride to raise awareness of the lesser known identities across the sexuality, gender, romantic and fetish spectrum's collectively known as LGBT+.

Space Youth Project

Space runs regular, free youth groups all across Dorset, in Bournemouth, Poole, Dorchester, Weymouth, Beaminster, and Sherborne, for every LGBT+ person regardless of race, religion, or social background. 

LGBT Dorset Equality Network

A charity and community organisation run by and for Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole's lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community members.

The network initiates and develops lobbying and educational information campaigns, as well as creating community space.

The Shores

The Shores in Dorset provides a service to men and women who have experienced rape or sexual assault. They work hard to acknowledge the extra barriers faced by ethnic minorities (racialised people), LGBT+ individuals, and disabled people.

 

Sexual Trauma and Recovery Service (STARS)

STARS is a pan-Dorset charity that offers one to one support, free of charge, for anyone of any age or gender who lives, works or studies in Dorset and has experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their life.

NB:SouthWest

Non-Binary South West is a peer support group for trans* people in the South West of England (or beyond) with non-binary gender identities.

They host a secret Facebook group, and have regular meetings in central Exeter.

Crossroads

Crossroads is a transgender support social group based in Wick, near Bristol, who meet on the 4th Saturday of each month.

Kinergy

Kinergy is a specialist counselling agency offering support for survivors of sexual abuse and sexual violence in Bristol.

They're inclusive of all genders, 18 years and above. The website features help guides, leaflets, apps and information on other support available.

Womankind

Womankind helps hundred of women across the South West every year to improve their mental health and wellbeing so they can experience a better quality of life. They offer counselling, group therapy, befriending as well as a speciality service for deaf women and group for LGBTQIA+ women.

Mothers for Mothers

Mothers for Mothers is run by women and birthing people who have have experienced depression, anxiety or isolation during pregnancy or after the birth of one or more babies.

They offer support in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire including 1:1 groups and calls.

Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre

Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre offers free and confidential emotional and practical support, information and advocacy to women, all members of the trans community, non-binary people and young people aged 12-18 in Edinburgh, East and Midlothian, who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives. 

Glasgow Women's Library

Glasgow Women’s Library is the only Accredited Museum in the UK dedicated to women’s lives, histories and achievements, with a lending library, archive collections and innovative programmes of public events and learning opportunities.

Unity in the Community (Glasgow)

Unity in the Community works to provide practical support and solidarity for people in need in our communities, especially asylum seekers. 

As an organisation they offer many different services from English lessons, access to food banks, unity allotment community, bike workshops, LGBTQIA+ friendly.

FFLAG

FFLAG is a national voluntary organisation and charity dedicated to supporting families and their LGBT+ loved ones.

MindOut

TransgenderNI are a human rights and community organisation who support trans and gender diverse people in Northern Ireland.

Based in their groundbreaking Belfast Trans Resource Centre, they work to protect and promote the rights and services trans communities need.

The Rainbow Project

The Rainbow Project is a health organisation that aims to improve the physical, mental, emotional health and well-being of LGBTQIA+ people in Northern Ireland.

Based in Belfast city centre Foyle, L’Derry, they offer a range of services from free sexual health checks to counselling.

CHAYN

CHAYN is a global volunteer network addressing gender-based violence by creating intersectional survivor-led resources online.

Be

Be is based in Newcastle upon Tyne. They work to improve the lives of trans and non-Binary people throughout the North East and West of England and beyond through their weekly drop-in sessions, peer support groups and social events. 

Abianda

Abianda is a London-based enterprise working with young women affected by gangs and county lines, and the professionals who support them. They offer services to young women aged 10-25 and training for those who work with them.

Milk and Honey

Milk and Honey is an expressive safe space that allows young women and girls who are often deemed as hard to engage to flourish and take ownership of H.E.R (Healing, Empowerment and Resilience) through 1:1 sessions and creative group projects.

Working on our Power (WOOP)

Working On Our Power Is A Transformative Leadership Programme For Trans*, Non-Binary And Cis Women Of Colour. They run facilitated workshops, workbooks, meditations and yoga, healing spaces and more. There is a range of accessibility support such as bursaries, child care assistance, language translations, closed captions and more.

Sarbat LGBT Sikhs

Sarbat is a volunteer led group addressing LGBT issues from a Sikh perspective. They organise regular events to encourage discussions, tackle homophobia/biphobia/transphobia and build bridges within and beyond their communities.

Keshet UK

Keshet UK's mission is to ensure that Jewish LGBT+ people and their families are included throughout Jewish life in the UK. Jewish LGBT+ people exist in all walks of life. Keshet UK aspires to work with all UK Jewish communities, including Liberal, Masorti, Orthodox and Reform, cross-communal and non-denominational organisations.

Inclusive Mosque Initiative

The Inclusive Mosque Initiative is dedicated to creating safe and inclusive places of worship and spiritual practice, to the promotion of inclusive Islamic principles, and to centring and uplifting the voices and experiences of marginalised people within communities, including sexuality, gender, class and disability. The Outside Project

Crisis night shelter for the LGBTIQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer) community who feel endangered, who are homeless or 'hidden' homeless. 

They run recovery groups, African-specific groups, social events, as well as referral-only arts and exercise groups.

REWRITE London

REWRITE London runs courses, editorial services, book reviews, a magazine and live events for women of colour writers in the UK. Online courses are available around the world.

MESMAC Newcastle

MESMAC Newcastle works with gay and bisexual men and other men who have sex with men.They offer free HIV tests, advice and information on many different health issues.

Birmingham LGBT

Birmingham LGBT are passionate about creating and developing a thriving and vibrant LGBT community. They have a range range of support services including fitness activities and classes, counselling, sexual health services, refugee groups and other places signposted via their website.

LGBT Health and Wellbeing

LGBT Health and Wellbeing works to improve the health, wellbeing and equality of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in Scotland.

Black Girls Hike is non-profit organisation providing a safe space for Black women to explore the countryside with like-minded individuals, with an emphasis on well-being and sisterhood. They host nationwide group hikes, outdoor activity days and training events.

West London Buddhist Centre

West London Buddhist Centre provides Buddhism and meditation resources for the whole of West London area. They have a custom space, with space for tea, book browsing, conversation and discussion, as well as a yoga studio with a range of classes, and a treatment room for massage and other therapies.

Gay Men’s Health Project

GMFA is a sexual health project by LGBT HERO. They offer trusted information, advice and support for gay, bi and trans men who have sex with men on all things sex, sexual health, HIV prevention and living with HIV while dealing with issues such as chemsex and general wellbeing. 

London Friend

London Friend's offers counselling, support and community services delivered by a team of over 100 trained LGBT volunteers. They cover mental health, sexual health, social support, drugs and alcohol as well as a specific support system for refugees and asylum seekers (people seeking refuge or asylum). 

Mermaids UK

Mermaids supports gender-diverse children and young people under the age of 20, as well as their families and professionals involved in their care.

akt

akt supports lgbtq+ young people aged 16-25 in the UK who are facing or experiencing homelessness or living in a hostile environment. They have support and services available on their website.

LGBT Foundation

LGBT Foundation is a national charity delivering advice, support and information services to lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBTQIA+) communities.

Galop

Galop is the UK's only specialist LGBTQIA+ anti-violence charity.  They support all LGBTQIA+ people who've experienced hate crime, domestic abuse, sexual violence, as well as a service for young people aged 16-25 in London and a dedicated Trans Advocacy Service.

Women and Girls Network

Women and Girls Network are a free service run by women, for women in London who have been affected by all forms of violence and abuse. They services include a helpline, webchat and other emotional and practical signposting support.

Alongside this, they have specific services for young women and non-binary people aged 11-25.

Solace Women’s Aid

Apna Haq is a survivor-led organisation supporting Black and minority women and girls (racialised) in Rotherham to escape violent situations.

Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO)

IKWRO support Middle Eastern and Afghan women and girls who are at risk of  ‘honour’ based violence, forced marriage, child marriage, female genital mutilation and domestic violence.

They provide direct services including advocacy, training and counselling, while offering support in Kurdish, Farsi, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Turkish and English.

Imkaan

Imkaan is a UK-based, feminist organisation dedicated to addressing violence against Black and minoritised (racialised) women and girls. As well as research and training, they offer strategic advocacy, and consultancy services. They are not a direct service provider.

IMECE Women’s Centre

IMECE supports women from ethnic minority (racialised) backgrounds, in particular supporting Turkish, Kurdish and Cyproit Turkish. They work with all those who self-identify as women. Services include counselling, advice and information, and training.

Enfield Muslim's Women's Aid

Enfield Muslim’s Women’s Aid provides relief for women and their dependent children who suffered or who are at risk of suffering domestic violence or abuse through the provision of accommodation, support and advice.

Ashiana Network

The Ashiana Network offers  a range of services including specialist counselling, advice and advocacy, and professional training. They support ethnic minority (racialised) women between the ages of 16 and 30 who are at risk of domestic violence and sexual violence. 

Covid-19 LGBTQIA+ Mutual Aid

LGBTQIA+ homelessness charity, The Outside Project, has set up an online support hub for the community to provide help to those in need, especially those who are homeless or in insecure circumstances. In the group you can request support or offer to volunteer.

23 Code Street

23 Code Street empowers women and non-binary people from all walks of life with the skills and confidence to be technical. They aim to give them the tools needed to build our futures, with courses and programmes available on their website.

Hey Girls

Hey Girls gives a box of period products away to young people in the UK from low-income families for every one box that’s sold.

The Red Box Project

The Red Box Project work to ensure that every young person has access to the period products that they need when they’re at school. Their mission is to ensure that no young person misses out on their education due to their period. 

Bloody Good Period

Bloody Good Period are partnered with 100+ community partners across England and Wales including food banks, asylum seeker drop-in centres, refuges and homeless shelters.
