About Us
Founded in 2017 as Spark & Co., we started as a grassroots network to support racialised communities. In May 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we registered as a Community Interest Company (C.I.C) to deliver community programmes and digital services.
To create a sustainable and long-lasting impact, we launched Spark Insights. This initiative enables us to collaborate with businesses and social impact organisations to embed anti-racism and anti-oppression into their work. We do this through research, training, and consultancy.
Our approach is rooted in systemic change. We address racism at its core by working directly with racialised communities and partnering with organisations to transform practices. This two-pronged strategy strengthens communities while fostering anti-oppressive organisations and contributing to a broader movement toward racial equity and justice.
Guided by anti-racism, anti-oppression, and lived experiences, we operate through three core pillars:

Content: Educational and informative content that uplifts and informs our audiences.
Community Support and Wellbeing: Inclusive events and programmes designed to foster joyful spaces, connection and resilience.

Our research, consultancy, and coaching services equip organizations to better serve racialised communities by embedding anti-racism and anti-oppression into their work:
