The Black Curriculum is a social enterprise founded by 22 year old Lavinya Stennett in 2019 shortly after her studies at SOAS to address the Eurocentricity and the lack of Black British history in the national Curriculum.
Their programmes are for all young people aged 3-25 and aim to equip young people with a sense of identity and the tools to navigate a diverse landscape. They aim to embed Black history in the English national curriculum to include a wide range of contextual examples of Black British history.
