Ishita Ranjan-Churchill (she/her) is a highly experienced anti-racism and anti-oppression practitioner with expertise spanning the impact investment, charity, and social enterprise sectors. She holds an MSc in Third Sector Effectiveness: Grantmaking, Philanthropy, and Social Investment from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass Business School).
As the founder of Spark, Ishita established the organisation in 2020 to address the disproportionate challenges faced by racialised communities during the pandemic. Since its inception, Spark has expanded its work, launching Spark Insights to equip businesses and social impact organisations to tackle racial injustice through research, training, and consultancy.
With over six years of experience in the impact investment sector, her expertise includes human-centered design, user voice methodology, qualitative and lived experience research, knowledge equity, and data analysis. She has a proven track record of managing and delivering complex, high-impact projects that drive systems change.
Ishita is passionate about addressing systemic inequities, including racial injustice, poverty, and social inequalities. She is an experienced facilitator committed to creating inclusive and collaborative learning environments. Drawing on her own lived experiences of immigration, racial disparities, invisible disabilities, and English as a third language, she approaches her work with authenticity and focuses on amplifying marginalised voices.
