Faith Based Support

While there are some great mainstream support and guidance, it can sometimes seem difficult to find advice that is relevant to your faith. 

In this section we’ve collated support from different faith based organisations to help. 

Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is a worldwide evangelical Christian church. They provide a range of outreach support services.

Church Urban Fund

An organisation that works through the Church of England’s local parish networks, with churches and alongside other faith-based and secular organisations, national and local government, charities and foundations, as well as individual supporters, to bring about positive change in communities.

Hindu Council UK

Hindu Council UK represents an amalgamation of various Hindu denominations in the UK through their temple bodies and cultural organisations. On their website, you can find:

Enfiled Muslim’s Women’s Aid provides relief for women and their dependent children who suffered or who are at risk of suffering domestic violence or abuse through the provision of accommodation, support and advice.

Working to support & create an inclusive community for LGBTQI+ Muslims in the UK

Inclusive Mosque Initiative

Dedicated to creating safe and inclusive places of worship and spiritual practice, to the promotion of inclusive Islamic principles, and to centering and uplifting the voices and experiences of marginalised people within communities.

Muslim Council of Britain

The Muslim Council of Britain regularly updates their guidance to help inform a range of groups - including individuals, mosques, and educational institutions. Access their Coronavirus Guidance

They also provide advice for parents, and guidance on coping with stress during COVID-19. 

National Zakat Foundation

NZF is and UK platform connecting Muslims who can give Zakat with those who should be receiving it locally.

They are currently offering support through four funds: Hardship Relief Fund, Housing Fund, Work Fund, and Education Fund.

The All Ways Network works to empower small charities working with Muslims 

They believe in having a strong support networks for our community of charities especially within the current rocky climate in the UK, with its constant cuts from the government.

 

Jewish Women’s Aid

Jewish Women's Aid supports Jewish women and children affected by domestic abuse & sexual violence.

They also have resources to help individuals support someone they suspect is going through domestic abuse.

Jewish Care

In the face of the Covid-19 crisis, Jewish Care, Nightingale Hammerson and The Fed have come together to make sure the most vulnerable members of the Jewish community receive the additional care they so urgently need

Sikh Helpline

Established over 25 years ago, The Sikh Helpline has developed itself to be a trusted point of contact for members of the community in dealing with a range of issues, especially those linked to cultural and social taboos
