Spark Talks: For the love of food
Spark Talks is a series of intimate panel discussions and community conversations.
Join us as we explore food in all its forms; how it is a love shared, a love we’ve had since the beginning of time, going beyond identity and culture across the globe.
COVID-19 has impacted all of us, and has affected food culture in more ways than one. The hospitality industry has turned on its head and food poverty has been stark. Resilience has been key, because food is what gives us life.
In this panel talk, we’ll be joined by experts who will discuss the trends and challenges racialised communities have faced and continue to face within the food industry and in regards to food itself.
We will be looking at what tools and resources are out there to support people working in the industry or wanting to break into it, and touching on food poverty and how communities have helped to overcome adversity.
Overall, this is a panel talk about the intersectionality of food and how food culture ultimately connects us to one another.
