Sheetal Mistry
Sheetal is a Community Development Project Manager at the East London Business Alliance, working with community groups and organisations across East London through the lens of corporate responsibility. S
he has extensive experience designing and delivering interventions at a community level, and has a background in education and working with young people from underprivileged backgrounds. She is also the co-founder of South Asian Sisters Speak (SASS), a community platform created as a safe space for South Asian women to connect and share mutual experiences. To date SASS have run events and workshops on mental health, identity and belonging, and South Asian history, and have also founded the Brown Girls’ Book Club.
Sheetal previously sat on the advisory board of Girl Dreamer, an organisation that empowers women of colour. She believes in social change, intersectional feminism, and the power of a good book.
